I
met Lindi several years ago when she joined Lachan
the Toronto Jewish Chamber Choir. I was immediately
made aware of her vocal and musical abilities as
well as of her serious approach and commitment to
Jewish music. Expressing to me several times over
the years her desire to become a Cantor has led us
to embark upon a path of intense study of the
cantorial arts. I know she will become a great
cantor.
Lindi has sung
in several choirs and has functioned as a cantorial
soloist in several congregations in Southern
Ontario. She was a cantorial soloist at Temple Sinai
in Toronto, Temple Sholom in Vancouver and before
coming to Holy Blossom Temple, she served as
cantorial soloist at Anshe Sholom in Hamilton.
Upon my return from Sabbatical
I was convinced that Lindi would be an asset to our
Temple and be most suitable as our High Holy Day
cantorial soloist. The speed and energy Lindi
invested in becoming a partner to our senior staff
and to me, in particular, has been an amazing
positive journey to Temple, to our staff and to me
personally.
Lindi is devoted to our vision
and our goals and has already shown her strength in
many areas. I know she will endear herself to our
members and become an integral part of our Temple
community.
I look forward in anticipation
for her success. |
