A native of Detroit, Michigan, Debbie graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Judaic Studies and a teaching certificate for secondary education.

After working in as a teacher, administrator and youth director in Jewish Day and synagogue schools in Toronto, Boston and Rochester NY, Debbie worked from 1987-1992  as the Hebrew school and co-Senior School Supervisor at Holy Blossom Temple.

For the past 13 years Debbie served as Assistant Director of Camp Ramah in Canada.

Debbie had the fortunate experience to work as a chaperone/staff person on Toronto’s March of the Living in 2004 and 2005. It was an incredibly meaningful experience to be with over 100 teenagers in Poland and Israel for the two-week trip.
