Holy Blossom Sisterhood was founded over 90 years ago by Mrs. Rebecca Brickner, the wife of Rabbi Brickner, who saw the need of the women of the congregation to become a formal organization with affiliation to National Federation of Temple Sisterhood, now Women of Reform Judaism. Our sisterhood is a place of friendship, where women can study, worship and socialize in a warm and supporting atmosphere.

It began with an invitation to attend the Sisterhood Retreat four years ago in Orillia. I did not have much to do that weekend and so I said, “sure, why not?” I had no expectations. While taking on the role of photographer for the our Sisterhood event I saw in the faces of the women that attended a spirit and a connection that goes beyond description.
