Rabbi Edward Goldfarb
Despite officially retiring in 2000, Rabbi Edward Goldfarb is currently working part-time at Holy Blossom Temple. Rabbi Goldfarb is a Toronto native with a long and distinguished career with several Toronto synagogues.
Educated at the University of Toronto where he obtained a degree in English, Rabbi Goldfarb spent a year in Israel between 1961 and 1962 before returning to Toronto to serve for 17 years as the Director of Education for the Temple Sinai Congregation. Rabbi Goldfarb was ordained at the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in 1982, and then moved to Oakville, Ont., where he served as rabbi of Shaarei-Beth El Congregation for 18 years, until his retirement in June 2000.
